Monique’s journey as an artist and an artist of life, was influenced in secondary school after the catalyst of the tragic loss of her father in 1991. In middle age another catalyst occurred with the tragic loss of her daughter. As a result of these events and further awakenings of wisdom in her life her love of beauty in nature always gives her exquisite joy. Monique shares these joys of spirit in her artworks.

Monique believes good events happen at the time they are meant to. In 2021 her son who was adopted by a very caring family, reached out to her. He brings her his life to love, spoil and share. He has lived a very happy life thanks to the faith of his family and the country area he grew up in.

In 2012 Monique married the father of her adopted son. At this time she became part of a family with 3 other children from a previous marriage. Her husband supports her to create her new career as an artist, sculptor and as an ideas consultant
